A natural gas line was severed when a vehicle hit a building at the corner of Vernon Avenue and Ruth Street. The Saskatoon Fire Department says it happened around four o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The 42 year old man driving the car had only minor injuries. He was taken to hospital. Area buildings were evacuated as a precaution while SaskEnergy crews dealt with the leak. Affected buildings were checked and cleared for any presence of natural gas.
