Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP Crime Reduction Teams seize large amount of drugs

The two law enforcement agencies, along with the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the small community of Peesane, about 35 kilometres east of Tisdale.

During the search warrant execution on Tuesday, officers seized 3.9 kilograms of cocaine, 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, two sawed-off firearms, a semi-automatic long gun, an assault-style firearm, ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and $5,000 in cash.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers arrested a man at a business on 2nd Avenue West in Prince Albert. The suspect’s vehicle was searched and additional drugs were seized—-183 grams of crack cocaine, 93 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of ecstasy, 21 grams of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun.

Triston Lundgren, a 29-year-old man from Tisdale, has been charged with the following offenses and made his first court appearance on Thursday.

one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
six counts, unsafe storage of a firearm, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
one count, possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code;
three counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
five counts, possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, Section 95(1), Criminal Code;
one count, possession of a firearm with tampered serial number, Section 108(1)(b), Criminal Code;
four counts, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code;
one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methylenedioxyamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
