Someone reportedly tried to abduct a six year old girl and a nine year old girl in Tisdale. RCMP got the report around 9:30 Monday night. The girls say a man, possibly in his 30s, in a white 4-door truck offered them candy and a ride. There were passengers in the vehicle with him. The girls said no, and the truck drove off. They weren’t able to give a licence plate but indicated the truck was possibly a dodge with rust along the bottom of it. The man was described as wearing glasses, having short brown hair, and a darker complexion. Police made extensive patrols but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Tisdale RCMP remind parents to be vigilant about their children’s whereabouts and safe. Speak to them about stranger danger, to not accept gifts or rides, and not to get within reach of strangers in vehicles. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact any police detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
