Saskatchewan Conservation officers are looking for whoever shot and killed a cow moose and its calf.
The SaskTips Facebook page says Prince Albert conservation officers received a TIPP call October 28th after the animals were shot on private land three miles north of MacDowall.
They say the calf moose was processed in the field and taken, while the cow moose was completely left to waste. There was no moose season on at this time, and no one had permission to hunt on this land.
Officials believe the incident likely happened on the night of October 27th or early morning of October 28.
A cash reward of up to $2000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the individual(s) responsible. Anyone with information should contact the Turn-In-Poachers and Polluters hotline at 1-800-667-7561.
