The Prince Albert Police Service Canine Unit is celebrating a successful performance at the 2026 Canadian Police Canine Association Trials.

Constable Mostowich and Police Service Dog Ares earned third place in the compound search competition and were also named among the top 10 overall canine teams at the 2026 CPCA Trials.

Constable Brown and PSD Pando also earned recognition during the Trials. Pando recorded a top speed of 44 kilometres per hour, making him the fastest Police Service Dog at this year’s event.

Chief Patrick Nogier said, “We are extremely proud of Constable Mostowich and Ares, and Constable Brown and Pando, for representing the Prince Albert Police Service and our community so well on a national stage.”

The CPCA Trials bring police canine teams from across Canada together to allow handlers and their dogs to showcase their operational skills, learn from other teams and share knowledge and experience.
