The Prince Albert Police Service has charged a 35-year-old man after a drug trafficking investigation.
The Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team began an investigation into suspected cocaine trafficking in Prince Albert early this month. The CRT obtained search warrants for a home and a vehicle for the investigation.
Last Wednesday police arrested a man during a traffic stop in the 700 block of 4th Street East. Police seized both a a vehicle connected to the investigation and a fixed-blade knife found in the vehicle. Around 9:20 pm the CRT searched a home in the 800 block of 6th Street East.
Police found and seized the following items:
- 271.4 grams of powder cocaine;
- 76.9 grams of crack cocaine;
- 114.7 grams of MDMA;
- 188 hydromorphone pills;
- 213 grams of marijuana;
- An Aero Survival Rifle and ammunition;
- Approximately $2,200 in Canadian currency;
- Five scales;
- Four drug press moulds;
- 20 guitars valued at $20,000
The man has since been charged with with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and multiple firearms-related offences.
