The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested two people after receiving a report of a man with a firearm.

The report came in at 1:30am on Thursday. Police were called to the 300 block of Avenue E South after a man was reported for having and flashing a firearm. It was reported that the man had the firearm tucked into his waistband.

The officers found a man matching the suspect’s description walking with a woman in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue D South. The woman was wanted on a warrant. Both were arrested without incident. Police found the man had an imitation firearm and machete on him, and the woman had a machete on her.

The 27-year-old man has since been charged with multiple weapons-related offences and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions. The 18-year-old woman was charged with Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace, Unauthorized Carry of a Concealed Weapon, and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
