Battlefords RCMP say there was a collision between a semi-truck and a pedestrian early Friday morning.

At 1:55 a.m. police responded to Highway #16 approximately 8 kilometres west of North Battleford.

The pedestrian was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 32-year-old man from Canoe Narrows.

The sole occupant of the semi-truck reported no physical injuries to police.

Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
