More than 10,000 of the claims were auto claims and around 800 were property claims.

The estimated cost of the storm is expected to total more than $80 million combined between auto, auto extension and property.

In an attempt to mange the high volume of auto claims, SGI is holding appraisal blitzes at Regina Commercial Claims over the next few weekends to help process as many claims as possible. These events are by appointment only and are designed to appraise hundreds of vehicles a day.
