The Province’s support for Saskatchewan-based business is still going strong.
According to the provincial government, over 94 per cent of procurements, valued at $698 million, were awarded to Saskatchewan-based companies in 2025-26.
During the fiscal year, the Province awarded a total of 490 procurements with a value of $741 million.
SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister Sean Wilson says, “Our Saskatchewan companies and contractors are the best in the world. When local businesses understand how procurement works and where opportunities exist, it leads to stronger local companies, good jobs for Saskatchewan people and value for taxpayers.”
What’s more, $1.5 billion was procured on goods and services in 2025-26. Looking at Indigenous procurement, $152 million or 7.1 per cent of total Crown procurement was awarded to Indigenous suppliers. This is an increase of over $26 million from the previous year.
