The Saskatoon Police Service is asking for tips from the public to identify a man they say has been the subject of two complaints involving alleged child luring.
In a news release the police say the incidents occurred at two separate retail businesses on the east side of Saskatoon.
On March 7th just before 10:00 a.m., in the car seat section of a large department store in the 1700 block of Preston Ave. N., the male was reported to have approached a six-year-old girl and motioned for her to step away from her family and approach him.
On April 9the at 12:45 p.m.., in the children’s section of a retail store in the 3100 block of 8th St. E., the male was reported to have motioned for a four-year-old girl to approach him.
Surveillance video from both stores has been reviewed and it is believed that the male involved in both incidents is the same person.
The male is described as being in his 50’s, Caucasian in appearance and clean shaven. The male wore a black Under Armour ball cap in both instances. Worn in the Preston Avenue incident was a black jacket with grey shoulders, blue jeans and black runners. Worn in the 8th Street East incident was a black jacket, tan pants and black runners.
