Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
2-3 pieces Chicken (Thigh 4-5 or Breast 2-3)
2 Pkgs Ben’s Original Instant Wild Rice
Carrots
Celery
Onion
Peas (optional)
2-4 cups Chicken Broth
1-2 cups Half n half cream (or Heavy Cream)
Butter
Flour
BBQ seasoning
Pepper
Salt
Garlic Powder
Sage or Thyme
Poultry Seasoning
Cook/brown chicken in pot. Season with some garlic powder, pepper, salt, BBQ seasoning.
Remove and let rest.
Cook all veggies to tender crisp with seasonings of choice.
Add chicken broth to cover veggies. Add half n half to add a bit of creaminess. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes, then add 2 Pkgs of instant wild rice. Let simmer till rice is tender, about 10 minutes.
Serve.
