A member of the Saskatoon Fire Department found himself at an unusual call on Thursday.

A post on the local fire fighter union’s Facebook page says crews responded to a call about a pet parrot who found itself stranded high in a tree.

An aerial rescue was conducted, and with some patience, the feathered friend was safely reunited with its owner.

The post adds that “Calls come in all shapes and sizes, and our firefighters are always ready to help.”
