The Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) attended a fire in a multi-unit residence just before Noon Wednesday in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.

According to an SFD news release, the first crews on scene found smoke coming from the basement of a four-plex after the call was received at about 11:40 a.m.

A fire was found in the kitchen and was completely extinguished. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters, and a search of the premises was able to confirm that occupants had been safely evacuated. A fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and a damage estimate.
