Two days of check stops have resulted in 63 tickets issued for Saskatoon drivers.
On April 16th and 22nd, officers from the Traffic Unit and Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan conducted two commercial vehicle inspections in the north end of Saskatoon.
Saskatoon Police says a total of 113 vehicle were stopped for inspection resulting in 63 tickets, 47 warning, 73 vehicle and trailer violations identified, 25 vehicles and trailers seized, towed, or taken out of service, one driver found to be impaired by drugs, and one vehicle impounded due to the driver travelling 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.
The Saskatoon Police Service thanks members of the public for their accommodation during these traffic safety initiatives.
