A man from Wilkie has been arrested following a significant RCMP investigation into a drug trafficking and copper wire theft spree.
On April 25, officers searched a home in Wilkie in relation to the case, where they found methamphetamine, one firearm and one prohibited firearm, as well as a large amount of copper wire.
Now, 41-year-old Marlon Marchewka is facing ten charges. As a result of this investigation, Wilkie RCMP were able to lay charges in relation to a separate copper wire theft from a grain elevator from earlier this month that resulted in significant damages.
This brings Marchewka’s charges to a total of 13. he appeared in court today. RCMP continue to investigate.
