There was an increased police presence in the Fort Qu’Appelle area this afternoon following a report of possible forcible confinement.

RCMP say shortly after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Broadview RCMP received a report of a person possibly forcibly confined in a blue SUV that left a business in the Grenfell area.

The vehicle was seen in both Indian Head and Fort Qu’Appelle detachment areas driving at a high rate of speed.

The SUV then stopped north of Fort Qu’Appelle and a man and a woman were arrested.

Preliminary investigation has determined this incident is not random, and more information will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
