While most of us likely aren’t enthused about the incoming weather system, it will be a positive for fire season.
The Saskatoon Fire Department, for a second time this week, was called out to a grass fire.
The fire department received a call at 8:51 p.m. on Tuesday that there was a grass fire in the Northeast Swale. An engine truck, a brush truck and a tanker truck responded.
Fire officials say approximately one acre of land was burned and the fire was brought under control at 9:45 p.m.
Fire crews were called to a grass fire off Highway 219 at 2:04 pm on Monday in the R.M. of Corman Park.
