The Regina Urgent Care Centre will again be operating on reduced hours this weekend, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, marking the tenth straight week of limited-service hours.
Prior to the election, Premier Scott Moe and the Sask. Party had promised the facility would operate 24/7, though its current regular hours remain 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Opposition NDP Health Critic Meara Conway says the government has failed to deliver on that commitment, accusing the Sask. Party of breaking key healthcare promises and struggling to properly staff the centre. Conway also criticized the government’s Patient’s First Health Plan and its recent budget, saying increased health-care funding is not enough to fix ongoing system challenges, while calling for major changes to improve care in the province.
