RCMP say a missing person case has concluded after an elderly woman who had been missing since April 7th, was located deceased.

Diane Cooper was found yesterday evening around 7:40 p.m. in the Rural Municipality of Grandview near Kindersley. Police say her dog, Halo, was also found at the scene and is safe.

Consort RCMP had previously issued public appeals for help locating Cooper after she was last seen in Saskatchewan and believed she may have been disoriented.

Investigators say the circumstances surrounding her death are not considered suspicious.

Police are extending condolences to her family and friends.
