The Terry Fox Foundation has partnered with a lineup of Canada’s best musical talent to promote this year’s merchandise launch, leading up to the 2026 Run.
Kirsten Fox, Terry’s eldest niece, says they are selling nine items this year, including Adidas Orion running shoes, a tote bag, a dog bandana, and of course, various tee shirts.
Fox explains that the shirts are inspired by concert merch.
“There’s a beautiful photo of Terry on the front. It’s one that we haven’t used very much, so it feels really fresh. On the back is a list of cities that Terry ran through and would have ran through had he not been forced to stop in Thunder Bay.”
The Terry Fox Foundation has partnered with a slew of Canadian musicians who’ve agreed to rock the shirts online. A few include Brian Adams, Jann Arden, The Barenaked Ladies, Michael Bublé, and Sarah McLachlan.
“All of these people, like I have, like you have, like many of your listeners have, have bene touched by cancer. It’s amazing to see these people use their platforms to help us spread the message.”
She says all proceeds will be going toward cancer research, something that impacts everyone’s life in one way or another.
“We’ve all been touched in some way, whether we’ve had our own battle or we’ve supported someone through one or lost a loved one…Hopefully we’ll see Terry’s dream come true one day of a world without cancer.”
Also, registration is now open for the Terry Fox Run, which takes place Sunday, September 20th. To buy an item or register to run, head to terryfox.org.
