A 16-year-old Regina boy is facing a charge of Assault With a Weapon following a report of a weapons offence on Thursday.
At 9:20 p.m., police were called to Murphy Crescent where they found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital by EMS with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police he was inside a home when five males arrived and began knocking loudly on the door. He then went outside to scope it out, and an altercation began. The victim says he was bear-sprayed and stabbed before the group fled the scene.
Following more investigation, officers arrested a 16-year-old male, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Youth Court on May 6.
