Starting in September, high school students will have access to a brand-new specialized course through the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre.
Energy Production 20 will give students in grades 10-12 a glimpse into the world of energy generation, distribution, and management.
Students will learn about all forms of local electricity generation, including coal-fired, oil, gas, renewables, and nuclear power.
Not only will students learn about how electricity is generated, but the province says they will also gain an understanding of the training and employment they may need to pursue a career in the energy production sector.
