The Provincial RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit is looking into a death on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

On March 1 at 2:25 a.m., Montreal Lake RCMP received a report of an injured person at a home on the Cree Nation.

Officers responded to find a severely injured woman, who was declared dead at the scene shortly after. Officers determined the death of 31-year-old Tanya Roberts was suspicious.

She was from Montreal Lake Cree Nation, and her family has been notified.

Anyone with information about her death is asked to report it to Montreal Lake RCMP.
