Air Liquide Canada Inc. pleaded guilty earlier this month to violating The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
The company pled guilty February 10th in Saskatoon Provincial Court in connection to an incident on June 21st, 2023, near Saskatoon.
A worker was seriously injured after being hit by a forklift.
Total fines and surcharges amounted to $100,000 for contravening regulations which stipulate an employer failed to develop and implement a traffic control plan to protect the worker from traffic hazards, resulting in a serious injury of a worker.
One additional charge was withdrawn.
