A 38-year-old woman has been charged with theft of a vehicle by Regina Police.
At 7:00a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of McCarthy Blvd North for a report of a possible impaired driver.
When officers arrived, they saw a man and a woman inside a vehicle. Officers determined the truck they were in had been reported stolen the day prior and ordered the female driver out of the vehicle for her arrest.
She did not comply with police direction, so a service dog was used to assist in bringing the suspect into custody without further incident. The woman was taken to hospital by EMS to be treated for a dog bite. The male suspect was also taken into custody without incident.
Tracey Lynn Jimmy will make her first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on January 6.
