The Saskatoon Police Service says shortly before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday police were called to the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a possible assault.
Officers couldn’t locate suspects nor victims but while investigating they approached one man who fled into a nearby hotel. He was located and arrested a short time later. Police say he was found to be in possession of bear spray, brass knuckles and a small knife.
Also during the investigation, a firearm was located under a mattress within one of the hotel suites. While officers never did locate any victims, a 38-year-old man is facing several weapons related offences and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
