A significant funding announcement was made Friday at the STARS Air Ambulance Saskatoon hangar.
BHP Canada, a global mining organization and long-standing supporter of STARS, presented the organization with a commitment of $525,000 over three years.
Karina Gistelinck with BHP says “Knowing that STARS is there for our employees at Jansen and for families in remote and rural communities gives us confidence and pride in this partnership. We’re honoured to continue supporting their vital mission.”
Last year, STARS flew 921 missions in Saskatchewan. Of those, 486 were from the Saskatoon base.
