To kick off the NDPs Provincial Convention on Friday, the party has announced a new Transition Team Lead in preparation to run government in 2028.
Ron Styles, a former provincial deputy minister and lecturer at the University of Regina, was selected for the role following nearly two years of serving as a key adviser to Party Leader Carla Beck.
A news release from the NDP says the Transition Team will be focused on the implementation of election commitments relating to the province’s economic future and public services.
The Team also has a goal of “restoring effective and efficient government and addressing the fiscal mess created by the Sask. Party over more than two decades of mismanagement.”
Beck will address party members on Saturday morning, the beginning of the convention.
