A 20-year-old man is facing eight charges following a firearms offence in Regina.
Monday at 1:20 a.m., police were called to a business in the 4100 block of 5th Avenue. Regina’s Aerial Support Unit was able to obtain a visual on two men fighting at the scene.
As ground officers approached the men, one of them ran away. ASU tracked him to a backyard in the 1100 block of King Street where the suspect laid down.
During his arrest, he spat on one of the officers. Further investigation revealed the suspect had physically assaulted two victims and threatened to shoot them. Two other victims reported they were also threatened by the suspect in this manner.
Toby Thompson made his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
