The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to a weapons call at an establishment in the 1300 block of 8th Street East – the same block as the Colonial Pub and Grill.
Officers learned that the suspect had shown a firearm to the establishment’s security guard during a confrontation and then fled the area. A suspect was located a short time later and arrested. Saskatoon Police say he was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm and fentanyl.
As a result, a 26-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, assault with a weapon, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
