Residents of Prince Albert are advised to keep an eye out for counterfeit cash, as some has been circulating in the city.
Over the last few days, members of the PA Police Service have responded to several fraud reports where counterfeit banknotes were used at businesses around the city.
In many cases, an individual has entered a business and paid for an item with a fake $100 or $50 bill, but receives real Canadian currency in change. The counterfeit bills look similar to real ones, but the fakes are a slightly different colour and have no raised edges. The ink also may scratch off the counterfeit banknotes and they may have the same serial number.
Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact PA police or Crime stoppers.
