A 24-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges of aggravated assault and assaulting a peace officer following a disturbance earlier today.
Just after noon, police were called to a store in the 100 block of Confederation Drive for the report of a man causing a disturbance.
Officers arrived to find a man acting erratically, seemingly under the influence of an intoxicant.
As police tried to arrest him, he began physically harming himself, and in the process also delivered minor injuries to two officers.
A Conducted Energy Weapon was deployed, the man was arrested, and he was taken to Royal University Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his non-life threatening injuries.
