RCMP say a woman from Frog Lake, Saskatchewan was arrested after colliding with a police vehicle in Lloydminster and leaving the scene. In a news release Lloydminster RCMP say last Friday the woman crossed the center line at the intersection of 50 Avenue and 48 Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. colliding with the police cruiser.
The driver fled on foot following the collision and RCMP were able to quickly locate and arrest the woman following help from witnesses who remained to provide information. Police arrested 36-year-old Larissa Berland with dangerous operation of a vehicle, operation while impaired of a vehicle; and fail to remain at the scene of a collision.
The RCMP officer suffered minor injuries and was assessed and released from hospital. Lloydminster RCMP thank the witnesses who remained to assist the officer.
