The new month started with a break and enter in Lloydminster and the arrest of three suspects.
According to an Alberta R-C-M-P news release, members of the Lloydminster detachment responded to a 9-1-1 call of a break and enter in progress at about 9 a.m. Thursday in the west end of the city. Police arrested one suspect at the scene upon arrival while a coordinated search by Lloydminster RCMP officers, plus Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services and the Lloydminster RCMP General investigation Services personnel, was able to bring the other two suspects into custody a short distance away. But, that was after the two fled in a vehicle, striking a police vehicle in the process. No officers were injured. The investigation continues into the incident with an update anticipated once charges are laid and more information becomes available. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP, your local police service or Crime Stoppers.
