A suspect in a break-in to a vehicle on January 5th is believed to be linked to two other incidents.

Over the lunch hour on January 5 police responded to a break and enter to a vehicle that was in progress. This was in the 400 block 22nd Street West and officers spotted a man walking in the area who matched the suspect description. They determined this individual was wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection to a vehicle theft December 2nd last year where the driver was stabbed. A 43-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In addition, continued investigation determined the individual was a suspect in a robbery of a vehicle from January 2, 2025. A 29-year-old man was arrested on his outstanding warrant and further charged with robbery in relation to the vehicle theft and mischief in relation to the break and enter to a vehicle.
