The Saskatchewan RCMP have made an arrest in connection to a suspicious death on the Piapot First Nation.

Last Thursday, Southey RCMP report finding a dead woman at a residence on the Piapot First Nation around 8:15 a.m. She was identified as 30-year-old Melanie Asham-Obey from the Pasqua First Nation.

On Saturday evening, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes located and arrested a man in Regina with the assistance of Regina Police Service.

Now, 40-year-old Robin Kaiswatum is facing one charge of second-degree murder.

He appeared in Regina Provincial Court today, and the investigation continues.
