Temperature records for this time of year were broken in 11 Saskatchewan communities yesterday.
Places that haven’t seen that kind of November heat in a while include Buffalo Narrows, Hudson Bay, Key Lake, La Ronge, Meadow Lake, Melfort, Nipawin and Wynyard.
For example, in Nipawin, yesterday reached a high of 15.7 degrees, breaking the previous record of 11.7 degrees set in 1929.
Saskatoon reached 15.1 degrees yesterday, and Prince Albert hit a high of 14.4.
Yesterday, the hotspot in Saskatchewan was Leader at 17.4 degrees. The cold spot was Key Lake at just -11 degrees Celsius.
The hotspot in Canada was Brooks, Alberta at 21.1 degrees.
