A serious assault has now turned into a suspicious death investigation, as the man who was found injured on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, near Loon Lake, on Tuesday has died in hospital.

The deceased is identified as 35-year-old Shoshone Morningchild. He was found at around 9:00am on Tuesday outside of a home on the First Nation. An autopsy has been ordered.

Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to contact Saskatchewan RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
