Damages following a Moose Jaw house-fire are estimated to be about $200,000.

Yesterday at 7:30 pm, the Moose Jaw Police Service, EMS and the Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 400 block of Fairford St E.

Crews say the house was fully engulfed by flames when they arrived, which were beginning to affect the nearby powerlines.

The homeowners were determined not to be in the building at the time of the fire, so no one was harmed.

The house has since been closed off pending further investigation by Police and the Fire Inspector, who will work to determine the cause.
