The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to two fires in the early morning hours on Saturday.
At 1:14 a.m., crews were called to the first fire in the 300 block of Childers Crescent in the Kensington neighbourhood. Firefighters say flames were observed coming from the rear of the house. The fire was completely extinguished, and no one was injured.
Just under an hour later, at 2:07 a.m., a crew was called to the 800 Block of 2nd Avenue North, in Saskatoon’s City Park neighbourhood, where they observed smoke and fire coming from the rear of large commercial building
This fire was also completely extinguished. A fire investigator is working at both scenes to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
