As of today (Mon), spring road weight restrictions have begun in the south and will be phased in by region as warmer temperatures and longer days arrive.
The province says restrictions will remain for up to six weeks. Weights on rural municipal roads and secondary weight provincial highways are cut by 10 to 15 per cent during the spring that, to protect the roads, which are unable to handle more weight until conditions are dryer.
