A suicide loss support program is now available to those with unresolved grief or trauma across the province.
The provincial government had recently allocated $200,000 in new funding to Family Service Saskatchewan to develop and deliver the program, which offers counselling, referrals, education, navigation support, and awareness.
The program is available in person in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Humboldt, and can also be access virtually from anywhere in Saskatchewan.
People who know someone who has died by suicide, or someone who survived with serious injuries, can also be referred to the program by family and friends who anticipate that they could use some help to move through the grieving process.
