Exactly two years after war broke out between Russia and Ukraine, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced additional support for the embattled country.
Trudeau traveled to the country’s capital, alongside various other world leaders, to reaffirm his unwavering support for Ukraine.
He announced new support for the country’s recovery efforts, including $75 million in security assistance, and $15 million to support the completion of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide.
He also announced up to $39 million in development assistance, over $22 million in humanitarian assistance, and over $18 million in peace, security, and stabilization assistance.
