The City of saskatoon is offering free sand to residents to improve traction on sidewalks and driveways.

The sand is mixed with a bit of salt and can be picked up at four locations: Cosmo Civic Centre, Lakewood Civic Centre, Lawson Civic Centre and the Material Recovery Centre in the City’s southwest.

Meanwhile, Saskatoon City crews continue to work on Circle Drive and expressways, apply de-icing materials to improve traction and clear snow from bridge decks.
