A 32-year-old Island Lake First Nation man has died, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
Yesterday at 12:45 p.m., Loon Lake RCMP received a report of an injured individual at a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
Officers located Dedrick Stick injured, and he was later pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene.
Investigation has determined an altercation occurred between a group of individuals at a separate house. Stick was injured as a result, and was able to flee to an adjacent home, where he later died.
Investigators ask that all suspicious activity and video surveillance captured on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation around the noon hour on February 1 is reported to police.
