Premier Scott Moe began this year’s holiday message with several lines of Joy to the World. He then spoke of the story of Christmas: a child born in humble beginnings, sent to bring a message of peace, salvation and joy. Moe says joy is not found in possessions but in family, friends, and in the freedom that we have. He adds that it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of the season, however people should remember that the message of joy at Christmas remains unchanged.
As you look on the blessings in your life during the holidays, Moe says he hopes that you might find joy in being a blessing to those around you. He closes the letter the same way it was opened…Joy to the world, the Lord is come.

In her holiday greeting letter, Leader of the Opposition Carla Beck says to her, the holiday season means family, community, laughter, and love, all while celebrating traditions and making new memories. Although this time of year is filled with happiness, she also reminds the public to remember to reach out to those for whom this most wonderful time of the year can be profoundly difficult.
To close the letter, she stated that ultimately, hope, generosity, and love is what is being celebrated this season, and it’s what we should strive for…every day.
