After sifting through over 100 auditions, the list of talented individuals performing at TeleMiracle 48 has been finalized.
TeleMiracle 48 Chair Tyler Hall says the usual list of 75 includes dancers, singers and even magicians. However, the process was somewhat harder this year.
“Over 100 auditioned this year. Some being live auditions and some actually sent in video recordings this year, so that number was up quite a bit,” admitted Hall.
Hall says the talent comes from over 30 communities province wide, including Kindersley, Battleford, Warman, Yorkton, and Nipawin.
“We try and select from people all over Saskatchewan. We don’t just select people from Saskatoon or Regina, we have people from every small town from all over Saskatchewan, too” he beamed.
However, that’s not the only great thing about the Sask Talent cast.
“For every dollar raised from the Sask Talent, Nutrien is going to match every dollar up to $100,000.”
Members of this year’s National Cast include Beverly Mahood, Brad Johner and his son Luc, as well as several new additions such as singer Dione Taylor, bassist Jay Semko, and musical duo Jill and Jeffery Straker.
The telethon can be seen live on CTV from February 24th at 9:00pm until 5:00pm the next day.
