Six youths and three adults have been charged, and more arrests are expected, in connection to a firearm trafficking investigation out of Regina.
The Regina Police Service Crime Reduction Team began the investigation in August after learning of illegal firearms transfers in Regina. The investigation spanned the province, revealing multiple transfers dating back to June of 2023.
Among the nine charged individuals are 38-year-old Shawn Ryan Kakakaway and 22-year-old Rueban Nahbexie.
The investigation continues.
