A 27-year-old Saskatoon woman was arrested after robbing a liquor store Thursday night.
At 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Saskatoon police were called to the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a man and woman had entered the store and filled a bag with several bottles of alcohol.
When confronted by an employee, a firearm was produced and the suspects fled. The employee was not hurt.
Later on, at 1:30am when officers were attending to an unrelated call for service in the 100 block of Avenue U South, they say they observed a woman who resembled the appearance of one of the armed robbery suspects.
Through investigation, police were able to arrest, however a physical search didn’t produce a firearm. The woman has been charged with armed robbery and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
The male suspect has not been located but police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
